Synopsis
In 1914 Finland, nine-year-old Katri lives with her grandparents, her mother having gone to Germany three years prior. As World War I looms and their farm struggles, Katri (also known by its Japanese title, Makiba no Shoujo Katri) takes on work at a neighboring farm to help support her family.
