Synopsis
Originally titled Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, this series follows ex-convict Yotarou as he seeks a new life as an apprentice to the stern master Yakumo, immersing himself in the traditional art of rakugo. The narrative weaves between Yotarou's present struggles in the 1960s and Yakumo's haunting past during and after World War II.
