Synopsis
Known in Japan as Uchuu Senkan Yamato, this seminal 1974 series follows the crew of the space battleship Yamato. With Earth's atmosphere poisoned by alien bombardment, Captain Okita and his team have just one year to complete a 148,000 light-year journey to the planet Iscandar and retrieve a device that can save humanity.
