Synopsis
Originally titled Momotarou: Umi no Shinpei, this 1945 wartime propaganda film reimagines Japan's folk hero Momotaro as a military leader parachuting into Sulawesi with his animal companions. The animation blends musical numbers with military action, including the famous scene where Japanese soldiers teach local animals to speak Japanese.
