Synopsis
Known in Japan as Raiyantsuuri no Uta, this 1994 film follows a Chinese laborer who escapes forced work in a Japanese coal mine during WWII. Alone in the remote countryside, he is unaware the war has ended. His isolation leads to a moving and tragic fate.
